Revlon Super Lustrous in Berry Haute Review and Swatches

Hey guys!

Since fall is right around the corner I want to share with you one of my favourite lip shades for fall and that is Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipstick in Berry Haute.

I enjoy wearing Berry Haute because it's a creme finish which means its moisturizing, smooth to apply and very pigmented! This is kind of a cool-toned pinkish purple, it's not the most wearable everyday shade of purple but its quite unique in my opinion. Sometimes I like to sheer this out but the swatch below is at its full opacity.

Here is an arm and lip swatch

This lipstick lasted about 5 hours on my lips before I had to reapply. I'd recommend this lipstick to someone who likes purple lipsticks!

Price: about $6.99
Place to buy: Walmart, Shoppers, Rexall

Benefit 'How To Look The Best at Everything' Kit Review and Swatches

Hey guys!

Today I'm going to share with you the other kit that Benefit recently launched from my recent Sephora Haul. If you would like to read about the Go Tropi-Coral kit, click here.

The 'How To Look The Best at Everything' comes in a very cute cardboard box that looks like a small book and once opened will reveal a "tips and tricks" visual and a decent sized mirror. The contains 4 product essentials that will help you achieve a flawless canvas in applying your makeup.

I have the medium kit which includes;
- 0.25 oz The POREfessional
- 0.23 oz Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation in "Cute as a Bunny"
 - 0.05 oz Boi-ing Concealer in shades 03 and 04
- 0.14 oz Hello Flawless Powder in "I'm so Money"
- a powder brush

The POREfessional - is Benefit's face primer that promises to minimize the appearance of pores and smoothes face for easy foundation application. To be honest, I don't think this primer minimized the appearance of my pores but I like this product for its smoothing effect. The POREfessional really smoothed out imperfections of my face and I think it helped my foundation stay on longer and not fade out through the day.

Hello Flawless Foundation - is I think Benefit's first liquid foundation and I might say the brand did it right for their first time. This is an oil-free, brightening, lightweight foundation with I would say light to medium coverage. I call this foundation my "weekend" foundation since I like medium to full coverage foundations more. I use this on days that I will just go to the mall for a few hours and just need something to even out my skin.

Boi-ing - I'm so glad that Benefit included 2 shades in this kit so I can mix and match them to the shade right for my skin. I use this mainly on some hyper pigmentation on my face.

Hello Flawless Powder - I've read in some posts online that this is a powder foundation but I use this more as a finishing powder for the liquid foundation also included in this kit.

Here is the powder brush

Overall: This is a great way to try out some of Benefit's products with an affordable price. Check it out!

Price: $36.00 CAD

Milani Baked Blushes Review and Swatches

Hey guys!

Today I would like to share with you two of my most reached for blushes from my make up collection and these are my Milani Baked Blushes! The shades that I have are the gorgeous Rose D'Oro and Luminoso.

Company Description: A luxurious powder blush that features a mélange infusion of colors baked on Italian terracotta tiles. Easy to use, sensorial in texture, the nuances of color become extraordinarily luminous. Silky smooth application leaves your face looking healthy and radiant all day.

Packaging: These domed blushes come in a round mirrored compact where the top can be flipped to reveal a brush that is included. I'm not really a fan of the gold compact though, it makes it look cheap and its a little bulky

The brush

Rose D'Oro is a terracotta with a lot of golden shimmer that provides a good colour payoff.

Here is a blended and heavy swatch

Luminoso is a soft peach with not a lot of shimmer that leaves a luminous glowy finish.

Here is a blended and heavy swatch

Both blushes are great wearing, each staying on for about 8 hours without needing re-application.

I have only found Milani products here in Canada in Walmart stores and comparing the prices here and the prices online like Cherry Culture, they are considerably higher. I bought each blush for $9.99 CAD from Walmart yet they are about $6.99 USD from Cherry Culture.

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Benefit Go Tropi - Coral Lip and Cheek Kit

Hey guys!

Today I'm going to share with you one of the latest kits that Benefit launched recently and that is the "Go Tropi Coral Lip and Cheek Kit." I think Benefit always come up with amazing sets that have the cutest packaging! I love how their sets have at least 3 different products where you can try if you would like them in order to decide if you want to buy the full size.

Company Description: "Turn up the heat, day or night, with our sexy tropicorals." This pocket-sized kit features warm and vibrant shades for a sultry, tropical look. It includes an iconic tint, award-winning cheek color, luscious lip gloss, and sexy highlighter–all in a mirrored box–so you can add a pop of color to your look morning, noon, or night.

This kit includes:
- 0.13 oz Chachatint
                                                                               - 0.1 oz Coralista
- 0.13 oz High Beam
- 0.22 oz Ultra Plush Coralista
- Mini powder brush

Cha Cha Tint is a mango - tinted lip and cheek stain. The colour is kinda scary when you just look at it from the bottle but when you blend it out in your cheeks it a lovely peachy coral shade. When I use this, I put 3 small dots on my cheeks and blend it with a finger.

High Beam  is a luminescent liquid highlighter that has a pink sheen. I like using this highlight not just on my cheeks, but on my brow bones as well. Just like the Cha Cha Tint, I apply this by putting 3 small dots and blend it out.

Coralista Blush - basing from its name is a gorgeous coral with some slight shimmer. I have been wanting this blush for quite a while but I was really hesitant to pay $36.00 CAD for the full size! So I was really glad when Benefit came out with this kit so I can try this blush out for myself. Too bad this product can't be pulled out of the packaging like the rest of the products.

Coralista Ultra Plush Lipgloss is a coral sheen gloss which is not sticky at all. This is a fairly new product that Benefit came up with to complement their famous boxed powders. I also think this will be a good combo for my MAC Vegas Volt lipstick

This set also includes a blush brush.

Overall: This kit is a great buy to try out some of Benefit's products with decent sized deluxe samples

Price: $32.00 CAD

Place to buy: this is a Sephora exclusive

MAC Vegas Volt Lipstick Review and Swatches

Hey guys!

Are you ready for the long weekend?

Lately I've been really into peach corals with everything; blushes, nail polishes, eyeshadows and lip products so it's a good thing that orange is the colour of the year. I may not be brave enough yet to wear a full-on orange lipstick but I think the product that I will review is close enough.

MAC Vegas Volt is an Amplified Creme and is officially described as a "full power coral." I would say that that's a pretty accurate description as its an amplified lipstick so its very opaque and has very good pigmentation. You can sheer out the colour if its too bright for you but you can also layer it to make it as intense as you'd like.

Here is an arm and lip swatch

As any of the MAC lipsticks I own, this lasts about 3 - 4 hours on me before needing to re-apply. I also need to apply lip balm first before putting this on as its quite drying. I love that this is a unique colour for me and I don't have anything like it in my collection.

Price: $18.00 CAD

Maybelline 24 Hour Colour Tattoo Cream Eyeshadows Review and Swatches

Hey guys!

Maybelline has launched a line of cream eyeshadows a few months ago and have quickly become very popular in the beauty community. These shadows are compared by a lot of people to MAC Paint Pots, I have never owned a MAC paint pot so I won't be able to do a comparison.

Company Description: Dare to wear 24HR shadow.
       • Ink technology creates 24HR wear shadow for our most intense, long-lasting color saturation
 • Cream formula glides on without creasing and keeps color vibrant
• Ophthalmologist-tested.  Safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers

Packaging: The colour tattoo is housed in a heavy glass jar, just like a MAC paint pot so it doesn't feel cheap and shouldn't dry up fast.

Maybelline has marketed these shadows to last for 24 hours but honestly I don't know anyone who would want their makeup to stay for that long. But I can say that these shadows do last for a quite some time.

Bad to the Bronze is beautiful bronze with a metallic and shimmer finish

Here is a swatch

Bold Gold is sheer shimmery gold that is not quite as opaque as the other shades but is buildable

Here is a swatch

Pomegranate Punk is a darkened burgundy with a shimmery finish

Here is a swatch

Tough as Taupe is gray that is mauve-y tinted with a matte finish

Here is a swatch

All the eyeshadows have excellent pigmentation and colour payoff which can be used alone, as a base or an eyeliner. The consistency of these shadows are very creamy and smooth that will glide on your lids without a hassle. Another good thing about these shadows is that you can just use your fingertip to apply.

Price: $7.99 - $9.99 CAD

Place to buy: Walmart, Shopper's Drug Mart, Rexall

Have you tried the Maybelline Cream Shadows yet?
