What's in my Makeup Bag

Hey guys!

I thought I might share with you some products that I always bring with me. I honestly don't know why I always carry this much when I only need to re-apply certain products, it's the make-up hoarder in me I guess.

1. Lip Medex lip balm - I love that this gives a cooling effect to my dry lips

2. Bath and Body Works Anti - Bacterial Hand Lotion - I put this on after using the anti-bac gel

3. Eco Tools Retractable Brush - I love how soft this brush is!

4. MAC Lipstick - This changes everyday depending on my mood

5. Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso - This is my everyday blush for a natural luminous glow

6. E.L.F. Translucent Mattifying Powder - Powder that really helps my very oily skin stay matte

7. Bath and Body Works Anti - Bacterial Gel - For hygienic purposes

8. Wet n Wild Retractable Eyeliner - One of the items I bring with me that I don't need

9. Essence Mini Lipgloss - This came in a set of three, I use this on days I like shiny lips

10. Urban Decay De-Slick Mini - Trying this out if I like it, so far though I'm not impressed

11. Hard Candy Glamoflauge Concealer - Another product that I don't need to re-apply but I just bring

12. Revlon Kissable Balm Stain- New lip product that I love!

13. Bath and Body Works Sweet Pea Body Mist - I don't wear perfumes because they're too strong for me, so a light body mist is perfect.

Here's a pic of the products inside my make up bag (in case you're curious)

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub Review

Hey guys!

Being a makeup novice I didn't know the importance of keeping my lips exfoliated and hydrated when I became obsessed with lipsticks. When I started wearing lipsticks on a daily basis, I would wear them by themselves then my lips became dry and chapped. Because of that, I started wearing lip balm underneath the lipstick and my lips got better but I noticed that the lipstick would not apply evenly. So one day when I was strolling in the mall and went inside a Lush store I started talking to one of their employees about my lip dilemma. The friendly employee suggested for me to try using a lip scrub as a prepped lip is important in achieving a great look with my lipstick!

So I bought their Bubblegum Lip Scrub and could not be happier with the purchase. I now know how important it is to exfoliate the lips once or twice a week so the dead skin would be removed and the balm I put on would be absorbed better by my lips.

So now on to the scrub! Lush Bubblegum is a bright pink scrub made mostly from sugar and really tastes like gum. I use it by taking some of the scrub with my finger and gently rubbing it on my lips. The scrub is edible so I just lick it once I'm done and put lip balm on. Having exfoliated and hydrated lips just feels so great, I'd have to say

Overall, this is a great product that will really help dry and chapped lips and I would suggest for you to try it out.

Nail of the Week Vol. 3

Hey guys!

For this week's nails I thought to feature a cheap polish thrill for me, Forever 21's Love and Beauty.
Love and Beauty is the cosmetics line from Forever 21 and you'll find inexpensive nail polish and make up products. I'm not really a fan of their makeup products but I think their polishes have decent quality.

The shade I'm wearing is called "Coral" and it is a glittery coral red. The formula is kind of sheer but it is build-able and it applied evenly. For this look, I put on 2 coats.

Price: $3.80 CAD
Place to Buy: Forever 21

Have you tried Love and Beauty's products?
Which one is worth sharing?
